This is What to Do If You Want to Upload a Webpage

Sep 7th, 2015

A frequently-asked question:

Friends, we have designed source code for our website. How to upload it to create free domain website.
Give some tips regarding this.

Answer: You are not alone. Web hosting is the heart of your web presence and can mean the life or death to your business.

If you cannot find the answer to your question like above, that just means that you have chosen the wrong web hosting service. A good web host means to complete ftp support, php and database support which you can’t find in a premium web hosting service. The best option is to use a premium web hosting service with free trial period.

How to Upload a Website in Your Server

The process of transferring a file from your computer to your website is often referred to as “uploading” that file or “publishing” it. For web hosts that support FTP, or the File Transfer Protocol, you need a program called an “FTP client” to transfer the file.

Using Filezilla

  1. Go to the FileZilla download page and obtain the appropriate version for your system.
  2. Connect to your server with FileZilla.
  3. Navigate your files in the third window on the left underneath the “Local Site:” box where its says”Filename”.
  4. The Window to the right of it is the “Remote Site” directory. Navigate to the folder where you want to upload the file/folder to in the “Filename” Window underneath the “Remote Site” window.
Drag the file you want to upload to the server from the “Local Site” to the “Remote Site”.

Upload a file through File Manager

  1. Login into your cPanel. Go to the File Manager, select the public_html directory and click Go.
  2. Navigate to the directory you want to upload a file to. Click the Upload link at the top of the File Manager.
  3. Browse your local computer for the file you want to upload.
  4. Select the file and click Open.
  5. Close the Upload files page. Refresh your File Manager by clicking the Reload link at the top middle of the File Manager.

An excellent hosting should have:

  1. complete php support
  2. complete database support
  3. complete ftp support
  4. one-click installer of scripts

Find a web host. You could either pay for it or get a free one. There are many hosts in the internet like www.freewebs.com or www.bravenet.com

.com names aren’t free. If you want a free domain name, try "www.dot.tk" The problem with it is that it only forwards the name of your website. For example you have several links and your website is named "www.food.tk", all the other links clicked on your site would have that same name.

Free domain names are very hard to find. I don’t think they make those things free anymore. A free web host would still give you a URL, though.

If you want a free domain, it will usually be a subdomain such as mysite.yahoo.com. Websites such as these also offer hosting services for limited file types and sizes.

The next best option is to arrange a static IP address as found with any DSL package and to purchase an e-mail address such as .org which can cost as little as $20 a year. Whatever top level domain name you choose, you should have an organisation that meets the same description, such as .com for company or .biz for a non-company business.

You can also organise several of these steps in 1 such as with www.hostess.com although the simplicity of management will cost you a little more.

A registered name will also help ensure your copyright for content on the website.

You can also run your own hosting using a web server application such as IIS, Apache or Abyss, with addons such as PHP and MySQL for additional server-side functionality.

a free domain(website name) is very rare, well it might not be even out there.
So the best thing to do is find an existing service that offers hosting and a free subdomain.
In this case, i would use this:
    http://freetzi.com

I’ve had good experience with this and if you really really don’t want that subdomain name in your URL,
the best thing for this case(in this case: FREE) go to http://dot.tk and create a free Http://…tk domain and foward it to your existing subdomain.

However, if you’re willing to LEAVE your computer on 24/7 just to run a website, go download WAMP.
    http://wamp.com

Its not possible to have free domain website. Yes you can have a website as a sub-domain on popular free hosting sites like geocities.yahoo.com, www.110mb.com. Also you can search "free web hosting" on Google to find similar place like 110mb for hosting free websites. For commercial hosting and design needs contact us at: http://www.miamiwebworld.com/

    1. No free web service offers a free .com domain name (or .org .net .us .biz etc.)
    2. The best free service out of all of them is http://fh50.com , really good stuff there. Took me a long time to find the perfect web host
    3. If you’re willing to leave your computer on 24/7, download wamp server (http://wamp.com) and create a domain name server on your computer (if its goood enough), then it’s "free" but because of leaving your computer on it may be better and cheaper to just buy one for ten dollars a year from http://hostdaddy.com
    4. To "design" a web page, learn the languages HTML, CSS, and Javascript. To put functionality into it, learn PHP, and MySql. Whatever you do, don’t learn ASP. lame language. Don’t learn it. Learn all the others at http://w3schools.com

I think you should consider getting your site hosted on a shared hosting. That will cost you only $10 per month. You can do whatever you want with the space, as long as it’s legal.

You can get a domain name on godaddy or namecheap. It will cost you about $8 to get a .com
