The Beginner’s Guide in Installing Joomla

Aug 5th, 2015

A typical query:

I wanted to install joomla on my website and cant figure out how.

Answer: You are not alone. Web hosting is one of the most important part of your online presence and can mean the success and failure for your business.

If you cannot find the answer to your question like above, that just means that you have chosen the wrong web hosting service. Free hosting doesn’t have full support when it comes to database and php which is badly needed in any Joomla installation. The better option would be to use a premium web hosting provider that has auto-installer like Fantastico and QuickInstall to install Joomla automatically.

An excellent hosting:

  1. has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
  2. complete php and database support

Best Joomla Hosting Provider

According to a web hosting comparison site, InMotion Hosting (IMH) is one of the best hosting providers today. InMotion Hosting scored better in almost all areas, based on the research carried out by webhostcomparison.org. InMotion is also rated highly by BBB. What we like most about InMotion is the 90-day money back guarantee. By giving such an extra long guarantee not given by any other website provider, it just shows how confident they are that you will like their service.

This IMH review was also impressed with customer satisfaction record of InMotion Hosting. So, now that you have the answer, you just have to try InMotion Hosting for yourself and start hosting for only $5.95 $6.95 per month.

Tip: Although most web hosting plans come with free domain name registration, we still recommend that you register your important domain name(s) separately at one of the domain registration services. This can avoid complication when you need to move hosting.

For Joomla it is necessary PHP and MySQL. Geocities does not give to you a MySQL account. You have to try another web hosting service. My site (http://discovolante.altervista.org) is hosted on Altervista (free web hosting) which give to me a MySQL and an FTP account and supports PHP5.
